Empowering Wounded Veterans to Rebuild, Thrive, and Find New Purpose After Service!

Embracing the Struggle of a Warrior’s Survival

Together Again

Combat or war veterans face immense challenges when they transition back to civilian life. The battle doesn’t end when they leave the battlefield; in many ways, a new one begins. Unemployment, homelessness, poor mental health, and physical disabilities are just a few of the hurdles veterans face daily. These brave individuals gave so much to their country, but upon their return, they often find themselves without the support they need to rebuild. The staggering statistic that 22 veterans take their lives every day is a harsh reminder of the price some pay even after the war is over. It’s crucial to not only recognize these struggles but to embrace them with empathy and action, helping these warriors survive the aftereffects of their service.

The Silent Battles Veterans Face After Service

For veterans, surviving war is just the beginning of the fight. Returning to civilian life often comes with profound struggles that extend far beyond the physical. Mental health issues like PTSD and depression take their toll, contributing to the tragic reality that 22 veterans commit suicide each day in the U.S. Many veterans wrestle with unemployment, feeling disconnected from the civilian workforce, and others are haunted by the invisible wounds of war, preferring isolation over human interaction. The adrenaline rush from battle doesn’t fade easily, leaving some veterans longing to return to the battlefield because of its addictive nature. As a society, it’s our duty to combat this silent epidemic by providing support, understanding, and resources to those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.

Why Life After Service is a Different Kind of War

Veteran Family

Life after service is a war of its own. Veterans who have faced combat often struggle to find peace in their civilian lives. They are not only dealing with physical injuries but also psychological wounds that can feel insurmountable. These struggles contribute to the heartbreaking statistic that 22 veterans take their lives daily—a call to action that resonates with advocates and veterans' groups alike. It’s not just about the lack of employment or homelessness but the deeper issues of reconciling their experiences on the battlefield with life back home. The desire to be alone, to shut out the world, is common among veterans because of the emotional scars they carry. We need to understand the depth of their pain and work to combat these challenges, ensuring that our veterans can live with the dignity and peace they deserve.

Introducing the Warriors Alive Foundation:
Supporting Our Wounded Heroes

The Warriors Alive Foundation stands proudly by the side of our brave men and women who return from battle bearing the physical and emotional scars of war.

These courageous individuals have given so much in defense of our nation, and it’s our turn to stand with them.

At Warriors Alive, we provide the critical resources and compassionate support needed to help wounded veterans through their journey of healing and adjustment to civilian life.

Our goal is to ensure that every warrior receives the care they deserve. By building a network of professionals, volunteers, and veterans themselves, we create a strong, uplifting community that empowers each hero to rebuild their life and find new purpose.

With your help, the Warriors Alive Foundation strives to create real, lasting change for those who have sacrificed so much. We are committed to giving veterans the tools, care, and hope they need to reclaim their lives and thrive once again. Together, we can ensure that our wounded warriors never stand alone.

The Warriors Alive Foundation is more than a cause—it’s a personal mission for our founder, Teree Murphree.

On December 27, 2007, her son, Corporal Jesse Murphree, was severely wounded while serving in the U.S. military in Afghanistan’s infamous Korengal Valley.

Despite undergoing over 150 surgeries, including dual-leg amputations, Jesse’s determination to reclaim his life never faltered. His spirit and passion for enjoying the freedom of sports, like skiing and scuba diving, have inspired so many, proving that even the darkest moments can lead to powerful transformations. We understand your not always on top of your game. We strive to connect and stand with you through all of the ups and downs. No shame in this game.

This foundation is a way to ensure that all wounded soldiers have the resources and support to rebuild their lives. Help to push through an inefficient and failing systems.

Your donation means the world to Me Jesse's Mom, Jesse and to every wounded warrior we aim to serve.

By giving to the Warriors Alive Foundation, you are helping heroes rediscover their confidence, regain their freedom, and find healing through outreach and other crucial services. Were losing to many. I want to find and reach warriors in critical situations who otherwise don't seek help for themselves. 22
